I stayed overnight while transiting through Sydney by train. The Hotel is very handy to Central station, just a 5 minute walk, which is also great for people catching the train to/from the airport. The room I had was fairly basic but neat and tidy and in relatively good condition. Blackout curtains work really well to keep the room dark. Lots of foot traffic out the front of the hotel day and night, but nothing too unpleasant. A pass key is required to enter the main hotel doors after 10pm until 6am, and there is also a 24 hour reception desk, so quite secure. For those travelling alone, the hotel will safely store your luggage for you for a few hours after check out. It's also a free service, which is a big bonus and very handy compared to storing in a locker at the railway station.

The fact that my original room had issues was not so pleasing, But the speed that the staff relocated me to another room of equal size was brilliant. This also gave me a better view of town hall station and how it was illuminated of the night. Great photos. Due to this view the conditions outside were visible to you and dressing for condition's was made easy. I had one restless night, but the photos of town hall station and the surrounds because of it are priceless. Man thanks to the staff even on checking in or out early with the storage facility for your bags. I checked out at 8am and they held my bags for me until midday. Much appreciated.

Excellent location of the hotel, Chinatown within walking distance, close to some great pubs and eateries. The room was good value for the money. Great Japanese air con, comfy bed and big modern TV. Mini bar was really mini but did the job. As others have noted, the bed is two singles stuck together but it's much better than you think it's going to be. Service from the reception is generally very good. I did have an issue but it was resolved well by the night manager. They are open 24 hours which is great for security. Speaking of which, they lock the doors at 9pm. Top marks.

Check-in was very smooth. The beds are as comfortable as any I have encountered. The bathroom is adequate. The shower is very good - plenty of hot water, good pressure, and I like the very wide shower head. A hair dryer is supplied, which is good. The room size is generous. We were very high up, having learned from a previous stay that the lower floors could be noisy given the windows look out on Broadway, so it was fairly quiet. The location is just about perfect.

location wise its ideally located on the edge of Chinatown , with amazing food nearby and a local supermarket for groceries. trams and light rail at the door step . The room was east facing which was delightful for the morning sun and was also double glazed but i was rarely disturbed by the street noise ( not much of this BTW as Sydneysiders dont seem to be as aggressive as Melbourne drivers ) . The room was very clean and the bed huge and comfortable .
